Healthy Children, Strong Generation: PT Citramas Hosts Health Outreach for 841 Toddlers in Nongsa

Batam, Indonesia – May 4, 2025 – Demonstrating its enduring commitment to community health and well-being, Citramas Group organized a large-scale social outreach event themed "Healthy Toddlers, for a Superior Golden Generation of Indonesia". The event took place at Graha Citramas Hall in Nongsa District, Batam, and successfully served over 841 toddlers from three local sub-districts.

Held from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the event drew support and participation from numerous stakeholders, including Citramas Group President Director Mr. Mike Wiluan; Chairperson of the Batam Family Foundation (YKB) Mrs. Sri Darsono; Head of Batam’s Manpower Office Mr. Rudi Sakyakirti, representing the Mayor of Batam; medical teams from Budi Kemuliaan Hospital (RSBK), healthcare professionals from Singapore, the Batam chapter of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), and Posyandu health volunteers from across Nongsa.

To support participant access, the organizing committee provided shuttle transportation and distributed gifts and incentives to families. The event’s target of reaching 841 toddlers was met, with every child accompanied by a parent.


Reggy Djakarya, Secretary of Citramas Group, stated that the event received full support from the Batam City Government.
Citramas Group Secretary, Mr. Reggy Djakarya, emphasized the strong support from RSBK, PMI Batam, and Posyandu cadres. “We continue to collaborate closely with our medical teams to stay focused on building a healthier community,” he said.

Mr. Mike Wiluan, President Director of Citramas Group, explained that this initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which has been running for 13 years in the Kabil and Nongsa areas. “This program aims to create a positive impact on the community, particularly in the field of health. Through activities like this, we want to give back the success of the company to the people,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of providing access to quality healthcare services, including consultations with medical specialists from Jakarta and Singapore to address serious pediatric conditions, such as lung infections.

“This outreach program focuses on early childhood development, aiming to nurture Indonesia’s future golden generation. We also encourage parents to pay close attention to their children's nutrition, physical activity, and to limit excessive use of smartphones or video games,” he added.

In line with Mr. Wiluan’s remarks, Mrs. Sri Darsono—affectionately known as “Eyang” and Chairperson of the Batam Family Foundation (YKB)— highlighted the increasing issue of speech delays in children, often linked to excessive mobile phone use and gaming. the culture of occupational safety and health in the Riau Islands.

Tia, Head of the Organizing Committee from RSBK, shared that more than 20 doctors were deployed, including pediatricians, dermatologists, psychiatrists, and general practitioners. “The most common health concerns were skin disorders and speech delays, many of which were tied to overuse of mobile devices,” she reported.

Ms. Butet, Posyandu Coordinator for Nongsa District, expressed gratitude for Citramas Group’s ongoing commitment to hosting this annual initiative. “A total of 841 toddlers received health screenings, medical treatment, and educational support from specialist doctors,” she said.

One parent, Ms. Suciati, also shared her appreciation: “This event was incredibly helpful. My child had been suffering from persistent mouth ulcers, and finally received proper medical attention from a doctor here.”
