BP Batam Strengthens Investor Partnerships Through Visit to Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate
BP Batam Visits Kabil Industrial Estate
Article published on June 2025
Batam continues to prove itself as a strategic industrial
powerhouse—not only as a magnet for investment but also as
a regional hub for renewable energy and the circular economy.
In line with this, Pak Fary Djemy Francis, Member/Deputy for Investment
and Business Development at BP Batam, conducted a working visit to the Kabil
Integrated Industrial Estate on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
During the visit, Pak Fary engaged in a productive dialogue with several company representatives
and toured key facilities, including PT SMOE and PT Thiess. The visit forms part of BP Batam’s
efforts to deepen collaboration and better understand the real challenges faced by investors on the ground.
“We are tasked with achieving an economic growth rate higher than the national average.
To meet this target, we must build close, trust-based relationships—like those between
friends or long-term partners—with our investors,” said Pak Fary Djemy Francis.
This collaborative approach was warmly welcomed by stakeholders. Pak Peters Vincen,
President Director of Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate, expressed his appreciation:
"We’re truly delighted. After so many years, this is the first time we’ve had a full team
from BP Batam visit us and genuinely inquire about the challenges we face."
Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate exemplifies Batam’s emerging role in advancing sustainable industry.
The estate is home to a growing number of multinational companies in the renewable energy sector and
serves as a major center for the refurbishment of heavy equipment such as trucks and excavators.
Instead of being discarded, used machinery undergoes a complete reconditioning process—restoring
them to near-new condition, lowering operational costs, and significantly reducing environmental impact.
This innovative model not only highlights Batam’s role as a strategic industrial and investment destination,
but also showcases Indonesia’s commitment to a greener, more sustainable future. By combining efficiency with
environmentally responsible practices, Batam is setting a benchmark for industrial zones in the region.
